CJ is Murphy's Blues' dedicated sound engineer and founder of Munsonville Audio, a recording and production company based outside Keene, NH. CJ joined the band in 2007 and produced the live demo. He also serves as sound engineer for the Monadnock Folklore Society and for Kate McNally's Folk Show on NH Public Radio. CJ specializes in live recording and sound reinforcement and has worked with local, national and international talent such as the Cold River Ranters, the Funk Soul Band, Lonesome Lake, Colman's Well, Annalivia, the Dejas, Hunt Smith, Waves Crashing on Face, and the Troy McGillivray Trio. He studied audio production and communications at the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan during the mid-80's, when he was also chief engineer for WTNY-FM and interned at Opal Recording Studio. CJ has a special appreciation for original music with local origins. "I'm always looking to discover emerging talent and to do what I can to help new musicians get exposure and learn some of the technical aspects of using equipment while performing and recording."
