Great for dancing. $5 Cover July 16th The Jacksonville Blues Band from Marlboro VT has been playing locally and throughout New England for over twenty-five years. Formed by guitarist/vocalist Greg Burnell, this rock-solid band is supported by saxophonist Jason Koerber, bassist Steve Cady, and drummer Eric Dormondy. Throughout their duration the Jacksonville Blues Band has remained faithful to the true spirit and roots of the blues, while deriving a distinct sound and style of their own. They cover a number of Chicago blues legends such as Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, and Elmore James. The band also exemplifies such Texas blues masters as Freddy King, Albert Collins, and Slim Harpo. In addition to the blues line-up this band has an artful way of integrating pop/rock songs by artists like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, J.J. Cale and Van Morrison. Their fresh and diverse selection of material demonstrates both their skill and added spontaneity. The Jacksonville Blues Band's innovative approach to the classic blues tunes and their charismatic performances have resulted in continuous popularity and an ever increasing following. Some highlights of their career have been opening for such national recording artists as NRBQ, Roomful Of Blues, Ronnie Earl as well as others.
